Shipping Costs! The Bane of a Tiny Nursery.

Shipping plants is complex for a tiny nursery business. Soil moisture levels and root density, along with the height of the plant can cause the cost to vary wildly. The dimensional upcharges from our carriers and the limitations of shopping cart platforms make the job of accurate shipping charges to you a real challenge. It's a fiddly process. We just want you to know that we constantly adjust, and you may notice variability if you are a regular. Sadly, you will see increases in either plant prices and shipping charges until we no longer lose money filling your orders.

Here's one immediate adjustment. Our system will automatically merge unfulfilled orders shipping to the same address. When orders are merged, shipping charges will be combined. When we get the actual cost from FedEx, we will now round that amount to the next whole dollar and issue a partial refund to the customer.
